New generation of ultrasonic contact impedance probe NOVOTEST UCI U2 for hardness testing.
In comparison with the previous version of the probe, the influence of the operator and measurement technique on the repeatability of results is significantly reduced. Any user without experience with such a device can do accurate measurements. And thanks to a special technology for fixing the change in the frequency of the indenter, the measurement accuracy is increased.
The new generation UCI probe U2 is made in an ergonomic stainless steel housing. It has a special protective cap for the indenter and a replaceable cable that connects via a Lemo type connector. If necessary, it can be completed with a special nozzle for working with products of various shapes.
Main advantages
HARDNESS MEASUREMENT IN NARROW PLACES AND GROOVES
With the new probe design, users can use the UCI probe U2 without a protective cap, allowing the indenter to be placed in particularly narrow spaces.
APPLICATION FOR PRODUCTS OF ANY SHAPE
The UCI method can be used to measure the hardness of metal products of almost any shape, mass or thickness.
CONFIGURATION DEPENDING ON THE TASK
The UCI probe U2 is designed to provide the most suitable configuration for almost any hardness measurement application. With a protective cap to prevent damage to the indenter, without it for hard-to-reach places, with a nozzle for flat workpieces or for a small radius surfaces.
VARIOUS PROBE LOAD
Depending on the material, surface quality, product thickness, imprint requirements and other conditions, UCI probes of different load are used: 10N (1kgf), 50N (5kgf) and 98N (10kgf).
SPECIALIZED LONG VERSION PROBE
Thanks to the special design of the probe, the tasks of measuring hardness in particularly hard-to-reach places of products of complex shape, such as gears of teeth, deep grooves and vessels are solved.
OPTIONS FOR USING THE LONG PROBE
If necessary, it is possible to remove the nozzle from the probe, thus the user gets the maximum length of the indenter and the minimum diameter of the measuring part.
